The Cochran School of Nursing, the oldest nursing school in Westchester, is on the forefront of nursing education. Our vision is excellence in nursing education. Located in Yonkers, New York, the school is a private two-year (four semester) program leading to an Associate in Science degree (in Nursing). Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for registered nurses (NCLEX-RN). The School is affiliated with Westchester Community College for instruction in the general education courses during the program of study and accredited with continuing accreditation status by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

The School is part of the St. John’s Riverside Health System, and our students gain experience in diverse clinical settings, both at St. John’s Riverside Hospital and our affiliate sites in Westchester county. Through a strong theoretical and clinically based program, Cochran School of Nursing graduates receive the education, skills and confidence to provide the community with evidence-based quality nursing care. Graduates of the nursing program are prepared to work in a variety of settings and meet the health and wellness needs of multicultural communities.
