Application & Testing Deadlines:

SPRING REGULAR DECISION

A non-refundable application fee of $50 is required for applications.

Official transcripts of all secondary and post secondary education are required. 

If you complete an online application please mail your official transcripts to Cochran School of Nursing, Admissions, 967 North Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10701.  Your application will not be processed until all materials are received.

Following receipt of the application and transcripts, the Kaplan Entrance Exam will be scheduled. Students meeting the admissions criteria will be invited for an admissions interview. Information from the entrance exam, interview and transcripts guides admission decisions based on Admission Ranking System (ARC).

Upon acceptance to the program, a non-refundable admission deposit of $500 is required.  This deposit is applied to the first tuition payment.


Current certification in American Heart BLS for Health Care Provider Course is required of all incoming students and must be maintained throughout the student’s tenure at Cochran.

The applicant must obtain health clearance and comply with all health program and physical requirements.

APPLICANTS WITH NEED FOR SPECIAL ACCOMMODATION

The Cochran School of Nursing provides reasonable accommodation for all students whose documented disabilities would otherwise place them at an unfair advantage in the completion of the nursing program. Applicants needing reasonable accommodation must provide the necessary and properly signed documentation at the time of admission or prior to taking the entrance exam.
